Comforting, rich flavours of caramelised onions mixed with a creamy dip.
Ingredients: Dip
- 1 Onion (thinly sliced)
- 1 tblsp. Butter
- Olive Oil
- 5 Spring Onion (thinly sliced)
- 250g Cream Cheese
- ½ tsp. Black Pepper
- 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp. Onion Powder
- 1 tsp. Lemon Zest
- 1 tblsp. Honey
- 3 tblsp. Mayonnaise
- ¼ cup Sour Cream
- 1 tsp. Balsamic Vinegar
- Salt (to taste)
- Black Pepper (to taste)
Ingredients: Serving
- Parsley (chopped)
- Chilli Oil
- Crackers
Method:

Heat a pan, add in olive oil, the sliced onions & cook for a few minutes.

Add in the butter & salt, allow to caramelize.

In a different pan, fry the spring onions in olive oil, till golden & set aside.

Place the cream cheese, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, lemon zest, honey, mayonnaise, sour cream, caramelized onion & balsamic vinegar into a processor.

Blitz till smooth & season with salt.

Pipe onto your tray.

Garnish with the fried spring onion, parsley & black pepper.

Serve with crackers & garnish with chilli oil.
