Irresistible & delicious, these
pop-in-your-mouth popcorn prawns will leave you wanting more!
Ingredients
- 125ml Mayonnaise
- 3tblsp. Sriracha Sauce
- 2tblsp. Sesame Oil
- 2tblsp. Lemon Juice
- 2tsp. Garlic (crushed)
- 500g Prawns (de-veined & cut in half)
- 250g Tempura Flour (seasoned with salt, pepper &
chilli powder) - 250ml Water
- 2cups Helios Sunflower Oil (for frying)
- Handful Salad Greens
- Handful Spring Onion (chopped fine)
Method
Spicy Mayo:
- Mix together the mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, sesame oil, lemon juice, garlic & set aside.
Prawn Assembly:
- Mix 200g of tempura flour with cold water & set aside.
- Heat the Helios Sunflower Oil in a pan.
- Dip the prawns in the remaining (50g) tempura flour.
- Dust, then coat in the wet tempura batter & deep fry till light golden in colour.
- Drizzle the spicy mayo over the prawns.
- Serve on a bed of salad greens & top with chopped
spring onion.
