Cheesy, zesty & perfectly flaky bite-sized snack!
Ingredients
- 1 x pack Puff Pastry Squares
- 3 tblsp. Za’atar
- 1/4 cup Olive Oil
- 1/2 cup Ricotta Cheese
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 cup Mozzarella Cheese (grated)
- 1/2 cup Feta Cheese
- 2 tsp. Crushed Garlic
- 2 tsp. Dried Herbs
- 3 tblsp. Oilve Oil
- 100g Baby Tomato’s (halved)
- Salt (to taste)
- Parsley (to garnish)
Method
- Pre-heat the oven to 180˚C.
- Place the cut pastry squares onto a lined baking sheet.
- Mix the za’atar, olive oil & salt to form a paste.
- Smear the za’atar onto the pastry. (leave the sides empty to allow it to rise)
- Mix together the ricotta, egg, mozzarella cheese, feta, garlic, salt & dried herbs.
- Top the pastry with the cheese filling.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes. (you may need to grill it on high till golden)
- In a seperate bowl, mix the olive oil with the tomato’s.
- Garnish the pastry with parsley & marinated tomato’s.
- Sprinkle with salt & freshly ground black pepper.
